Celebrate the Magic of the Season

A one-of-a-kind evening at Canyon Lodge to kick off the holidays. Night of Lights is a free, fun-filled night for all ages with live music, a torchlight parade, kids activities, snowmobiles rides and a firework spectacular that lights up the Sierra sky. New this year will be the addition of Chris Benchetler’s film, “Fire on the Mountain”.

Rooftop Viewing Area | SOLD OUT

Take it all in with your friends and family atop the Canyon Lodge roof.  Open from 5–8PM and providing prime show viewing. A cash bar and grab-and-go food options will be available for purchase, plus standing room and limited seating. There’s no other place you’d rather be to enjoy the night’s events.

Indoor Viewing Area | SOLD OUT

Gather with the family for a night of pure magic. Enjoy the Night of Lights show from a warm indoor setting in the Cloverleaf room on the 4th floor of Canyon Lodge, with limited seating provided and room for standing.


“Fire on the Mountain” Film Premiere

Don’t miss the “Fire on the Mountain” film project masterminded by local Mammoth athlete Chris Benchetler and filmed partly at Mammoth Mountain. The Mammoth Mountain premiere of this film will follow the firework show.

Event Parking & Transportation

Limited parking is available at Canyon Lodge, all event-goers are encouraged to use free public transportation to get to and from the Night of Lights.

The Village Gondola
The gondola will run until 10PM from The Village Plaza to Canyon Lodge. This option is best for guests staying in or near The Village. Paid parking is available in the parking lot across from The Village.

Special Event Shuttle & Town Trolley

Routes are available for the evening for guests staying a various in-town locations. View the Night of Lights program (below) for a detailed map and schedule.

Park & Ride

Locations will be set up at the Mammoth High School and Juniper Springs Resort/Eagle Lodge.  Shuttle buses will run between these locations and Canyon Lodge for the evening.
